Good Sunday morning, dears. Today is 10/10/10. Isn't that great? If I weren't already married maybe I'd choose to get married today. Anyway, it's a good day to go over to Spain and visit this luminous and youthful apartment in Madrid which used to be cramped, dark and gloomy. There was one narrow long hall leading to many small rooms. Most of the walls were taken down and now the living room, dining room and kitchen are all in one same big space making the most of three ceiling high windowed doors through which light floods in. No need for curtains as the doors have shutters inside and out.

From this angle you can see the three rooms all in one space. All three doors lead onto a long balcony overlooking the street.

A well balanced sitting area. I like the oversized chess pieces.

Another angle of the eclectic sitting area. The iron framed mirror is its focal point which adds depth and makes the room feel bigger. Love the knitted pillow covers.

Instead of tiles, a huge glass pane was mounted against the kitchen wall. I wonder where the fridge is.

White tulip chairs and iron framed glass top dining room table.

A partition wall separates the master bedroom from the bathroom so the light from the window is shared in both spaces.

A square sink was fitted into the dressing table in the master bedroom. I'm not quite sure about this feature. I prefer having the sink in the bathroom and just a dressing table here. At least I would have hidden the drain pipe.

Claw-foot tub. The toilet is hidden behind the glass door on the right.

Beautiful antique side table with a marble top.

Hope you enjoyed today's tour. Have a happy day and see you tomorrow.
